About the Role

REEL International, a global industrial conglomerate with over 2,500 employees, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join its team in Malaga, Spain. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the complete design process of aeronautical Jigs and Tools, as well as serving as a technical expert and mentor to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Study client specifications, assess technical requirements, and perform preliminary design to create offers for clients. Carry out concept and design in adherence with requirements, including functions, tolerances, and material strength calculations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Interact with the team, provide technical support, control the implementation of technical requirements, verify and validate designs, and lead technical competencies in the team.
Requirements
  1. 10 years of experience in tooling and access platform design, including 3D design and drawings, manufacturing of mechanical parts, and tolerance requirements.
  2. Knowledge of construction steels, mechanical steels, and aluminum raw materials.
  3. Calculation basis for mechanical dimensioning of structures.
  4. Knowledge of electrical motors and pneumatic effectors selection is a plus.
  5. Engineering degree or technical design education.
  6. Proficiency in CATIA is a must.
  7. Independent worker with strong communication skills.
  8. Ethical conduct.
  9. Results-driven and rigorous.
  10. Good written and spoken English and Spanish.
  11. Ability to travel in Spain and foreign countries.
