Finance Analyst - EU Emerging Marketing

The European Emerging Marketing Finance team at Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst. As a key member of our Europe-wide team, you will be the finance partner and trusted advisor to our EU Emerging business area, ensuring that the drivers of performance are well understood and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a business partner to our designated marketing area, collaborating with the business on analysis and insight generation to support decision-making.
  • Own and evolve the investment framework for our business area, assessing business cases and supporting business development within our channel.
  • Lead regular business reviews (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and deep dive into performance drivers where necessary.
  • Build accurate forecasts, lead business and strategic plans for our area, and regularly interact with Directors and senior leadership to explain the performance of our channel and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Develop ad-hoc business analysis and strategies, and present recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
