Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Export Coordinator.

This role is situated in Madrid, Spain, reporting directly to the Team Leader of Distribution Digital International.

The Junior Export Coordinator is pivotal in managing global distribution and order processing for a specific range of oral care products and services offered by the Straumann Group. As a member of the Distribution International team, you will be responsible for ensuring high service levels while achieving delivery performance targets. This involves agile prioritization based on business needs, effective shipping management, meticulous execution of standardized tasks, and compliance with regulatory requirements in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders using SAP software.
  • Prepare delivery documentation and shipments for warehouse operations.
  • Manage customer backorders effectively.
  • Generate all necessary export documentation, including customs invoices, packing lists, transport orders, and certificates of origin.
  • Communicate dispatch notifications to global distributors and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee license management.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for digital transformation and technological tools.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Be open to travel to the headquarters in Basel.

Qualifications

  • Basic commercial training, preferably in a freight forwarding context.
  • Understanding of export and import processes.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics, and automation.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English and German, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to cultivate trustful and sustainable relationships with customers.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Energetic and proactive, comfortable in a fast-paced, agile setting.
  • Self-motivated with a performance-driven mindset, capable of working autonomously.
