About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Projects Manager to join our Infrastructure Energy Team in EMEA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end power scaling strategies for our data centers across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive power growth strategies for our EMEA data centers, working closely with real estate and planning teams.
  • Prospect for, originate, and contract power capacity needed to support data center delivery, collaborating with regional experts.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in power grid delivery and operation, working with partner teams.
  • Develop cost-saving projects and initiatives related to grid and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with electricity utilities and external stakeholders to develop strategies supporting AWS's EMEA expansion.
  • Work with the Public Policy team to develop policies and guidelines enabling broader AWS strategies and objectives.
About the Team

The Infrastructure Energy team is a dynamic group of 13 members, based in various locations across EMEA. Our team is responsible for originating, contracting, and delivering reliable power connections to our data centers. We work closely with business analysts and other teams to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 7-10+ years of delivery experience in the electric utility/energy industry, with a deep understanding of grid application processes, grid access rules, and electricity grids.
  • Proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with key clients and external stakeholders, resulting in high customer satisfaction.
  • Working proficiency in Swedish and English languages, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in relevant discipline (MBA/MS).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering HV/MV electric infrastructure.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers, and cloud services.
  • Ability to converse in German, French, or Italian is advantageous.
  • Experience working on energy policy initiatives.
