About the Role

Berry Global Inc is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our EMEIA Systems Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading lifecycle management of our IT infrastructure components and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client, server, and patch management on Windows and Linux platforms, as well as server and storage hardware appliances. You will work closely with subject matter experts and third parties to ensure that our IT technologies are managed and secured according to industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead lifecycle management of IT infrastructure components and systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and third parties on best practices for lifecycle management.
  • Develop and improve upgrade and patching routines through tools and automation.
  • Work with the security team to define, maintain, and monitor compliance with security policies.
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects and daily operations.
  • Travel internationally occasionally to perform onsite activities.
Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational experience with Active Directory Domain Services, Linux OS, PowerShell, OS and Software deployment, patching of software, operating systems, and Infrastructure components, Windows Client and Server OS, server and storage technologies, and VMWare vSphere.
  • Strong experience with IT lifecycle management.
  • Self-motivated and able to take the lead and engage with the business on IT initiatives.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Additional language skills, such as French, are highly regarded.
