Join Berry Global Inc as a skilled IT Systems Engineer

Berry Global Inc is a leading plastic packaging company seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to bolster our efforts within IT lifecycle management and patching of our IT infrastructure components. As a key member of the Berry EMEIA Systems Team, you will lead lifecycle and patch management of the IT infrastructure components and systems managed by the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead lifecycle management within the systems team in EMEIA, ensuring our portfolio of systems and IT infrastructure components are patched and upgraded within the supported lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and third parties on best practices for lifecycle management of our portfolio of systems and technologies.
  • Continually develop and improve upgrade and patching routines through tools and automation.
  • Work with the security team in defining, maintaining, and monitoring compliance with security policies.
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects and daily operations as requested.
  • Travel internationally occasionally to perform onsite activities as part of projects.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational experience with Active Directory Domain Services, Linux OS, PowerShell, OS and Software deployment, Patching of software, operating systems, and Infrastructure components, Windows Client and Server OS, Server and storage technologies, VMWare vSphere.
  • Strong experience with IT lifecycle management.
  • Self-motivated and able to take the lead and engage with the business on IT initiatives.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Additional language skills, such as French, are highly regarded.

Location

The job will be based within Europe and with the option of working remote.
