Renewals Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewals Account Manager to join our team at Riverbed Technology. As a Renewals Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction through effective renewal management and upselling of maintenance contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and execute high-volume renewal quotes for maintenance contracts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions, proposing creative deal structures and leading pricing negotiations with customers.
- Validate customer asset lists and ensure accurate tracking of maintenance renewals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, ensuring timely maintenance renewal and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Stay up-to-date with product, systems, and processes to effectively sell maintenance renewals and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist customers with product discrepancies, including license reconciliations and audits, and manage customer requests for contract merges, transfers, and license purges.
- Field inbound calls from customers and partners, resolving requests and ensuring timely resolution of backlog in assigned territory.
- Partner with field sales to save potentially lost maintenance renewals and track contract non-renewal, including reasons for cancellation.
- Prepare forecasts of maintenance renewal bookings with a 10% accuracy rate.
- Multiple years of experience in sales, specifically software maintenance renewals, is preferred.
- Must thrive in a quota-driven environment and have the ability to negotiate and up-sell maintenance offerings.
- Account planning experience and involvement in the alignment of sales, channel, professional services, and training teams around renewal events is required.
- Ability to forecast maintenance bookings and a strong desire and willingness to learn are essential.
- Apt ability to multitask and juggle priorities to facilitate on-time Maintenance & Support Renewals, with experience structuring deals and creative problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and work proactively with minimal supervision.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills with an orientation towards helping customers.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle, and applications is desired.
- Basic understanding of telecommunications, networking, and IP technology solutions is preferred.
- Strong preference for second language proficiency, but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience.
