About the Role

The Position

At Roche, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team. As a Data Governance Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the business strategy at Roche from research to commercialization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Data Governance frameworks and policies across the systems.
  • Own and act as the SME on Data Governance policies, while enabling business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of the enterprise information maps, including systems, owners, and associated processes.
  • Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap aligning strategic priorities of CxI.
  • Build an enterprise-wide data governance framework, focusing on the improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organizational policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture.
  • Partner with several different stakeholders and functions in implementing the data governance solutions across the affiliate network.
  • Facilitate the adoption of data quality standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements across the enterprise via partnering and influencing without authority.
  • Oversee relevant work and deliverables coordinating with assigned internal resources and external consultants (onshore/offshore).
  • Ensure adherence to various regulations like CCPA, GDPR, and other Data Privacy regulations applicable to the organization and our industry, partnering with the Data privacy experts within and outside GPS.
  • Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships in a cross-functional environment relevant to the DG function.
  • Create and own the budget and ensure that the assigned projects are executed within the planned budget.
  • Own and manage the data cataloging efforts across the GTM stream.

**Requirements**

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience structuring and managing data governance function.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the commercial/medical Pharma-biotechnology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-leading data governance, data quality, and data protection management practices.
