Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Associate to join our team at Alight. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll activities and data management/customer services activities.
Main Responsibilities
As a Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Independently processing payroll end-to-end to ensure delivery as per the agreed processing calendar(s) and to the agreed KPIs.
- Supporting statutory and year-end reporting to the agreed calendar(s) and to the agreed KPIs.
- Using payroll expertise to advise on client queries/issues and ensuring a strong understanding of country-specific legislation and tasks.
Additional Responsibilities
You will also be responsible for:
- Supporting and knowledge transfer to apprentices and/or associates on data management or customer service activities.
- Ensuring tickets and calls are responded to within SLA timescales and to a high standard.
- Supporting system maintenance testing.
- Liaising and transacting with third parties.
- Completing SOC controls on time and with the necessary evidence.
- Supporting and contributing to root cause analysis to ensure details are accurate and that feasible preventative measures are suggested to limit any reoccurrence.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures.
Education and Experience
You will need:
- A BA/BS in a business-related field such as accounting, human resources, business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience administering payroll or health and welfare/benefits in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
- HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge is preferred.
