We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Associate to join our team at Alight. As a Payroll Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll activities and data management/customer services activities.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Independently process payroll end-to-end to ensure delivery as per the agreed processing calendar(s) and to the agreed KPIs.
- Data Management: Independently perform data management or customer service activities as per the agreed calendar and KPIs.
- Statutory and Year-End Reporting: Support statutory and year-end reporting to the agreed calendar(s) and to the agreed KPIs.
- Payroll Expertise: Use payroll expertise to advise upon client queries/issues and ensure a strong understanding of country-specific legislation and tasks.
- Knowledge Transfer: Support and knowledge transfer apprentices and/or associates on data management or customer service activities.
- Customer Service: Ensure tickets and calls are responded to within SLA timescales and to a high standard.
- System Maintenance: Support system maintenance testing.
- Third-Party Liaison: Liaise and transact with third parties.
- SOC Controls: Complete SOC controls on time and with the necessary evidence.
- Root Cause Analysis: Support and contribute to root cause analysis to ensure details are accurate and that feasible preventative measures are suggested to limit any reoccurrence.
- Knowledge Transfer Sessions: Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and ensure the audience has understood and can put into practice.
- Process Maintenance: Maintain DWIs to ensure processes are up to date and reflective of the service.
- System Issues: Report all system issues/defects correctly and log tickets with the necessary details and evidence so Application Services and/or Products can investigate.
- Scope of Service: Highlight to the Service Manager any deviations from the standard scope of service.
- Confidentiality: Recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information.
- Time Recording: Complete time recording accurately and on time.
- Security Standards: Adhere to and follow Alight Security Standards.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team meetings and raise any issues immediately to your Service Manager.
- Company Announcements: Ensure you are up to date with all Alight announcements and communications.
- Relationship Building: Build good relationships with all lines of businesses where appropriate.
- Stakeholder Updates: Update internal stakeholders, when needed, in a timely and accurate way.
- Project Participation: Participate in projects and activities as needed and assigned.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Knowledge of MS Office Tools: Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Essential: BA/BS in a business-related field such as Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience administering payroll or health & welfare/benefits in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing or corporate environment.
- HRIS Knowledge: HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.
- Desirable: Experience working with HR and payroll data.
