About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Deusto Sustainable Research Group, Universidad de Deusto. The successful candidate will contribute to a European research project focused on food waste prevention, leveraging their expertise in Artificial Intelligence.
Research Focus
The project aims to develop data-driven models to identify behavioral patterns, analyze causes, and evaluate the efficiency of food loss and waste prevention strategies in terms of sustainability. The researcher will work closely with our team to design and develop machine learning and system dynamics models, collect and analyze data, and publish research findings in high-impact journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data analytics models for the diagnosis of generation patterns
- Develop machine learning and system dynamics models for the analysis of the impact of food waste prevention strategies
- Lead data collection and model design, coordinating multidisciplinary and international work teams
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals
- Contribute to competitive research proposals and projects
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with experience in Artificial Intelligence. Applicants who completed their PhD from 2019 onwards are welcome. We are looking for a person with professional competences, empathy, ability to work in a team, motivation for innovation and research, ability to adapt, and who identifies with the mission of the University of Deusto.
What We Offer
- A 3-year contract as an associate researcher/investigador/a asociado/a
- A gross annual salary of €32,985.15 to €42,000, distributed into 15 monthly installments, depending on the candidate's experience
