Postdoctoral Researcher in Artificial Intelligence for Food Waste Reduction

About the Position:
Universidad de Deusto is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join its Deusto Sustainable Research Group. The successful candidate will contribute to a European research project focused on reducing food waste, collaborating with prestigious partners and advancing scientific progress in this area.
The research team aims to understand the causes behind food waste and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention strategies. The postdoctoral researcher will develop data-driven models to identify behavioral patterns, analyze causes, and assess the sustainability of food loss and waste prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Analytics: Conduct in-depth analysis of data to diagnose generation patterns and identify areas for improvement.
- Model Development: Design and develop machine learning and system dynamics models to analyze the impact of food waste prevention strategies.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate multidisciplinary and international work teams to lead data collection and model design.
- Research Publication: Publish research findings in high-impact journals and collaborate with group members.
- Project Participation: Contribute to competitive projects and submit research proposals.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with experience in Artificial Intelligence. Applicants who completed their PhD from 2019 onwards are welcome.
