About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our Communication Research Group at Universidad de Deusto. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to our research team's efforts to strengthen our competitiveness, increase academic coherence, and expand our thematic scope.
Research Focus
The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in research projects focused on the challenges faced by democracies in the context of new communication practices, the impact of digital and traditional media on social cohesion and collective well-being, social change in the mediated, interconnected, and rapidly changing world, and public communication strategies for an inclusive and sustainable society.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and publish papers in high-impact journals (WoS and SJR) with group members.
- Work on competitive projects (Basque Government, Spanish Government, Horizon Europe).
- Submit competitive research proposals.
- Collaborate in the preparation of activities and assist with everyday tasks of the research group.
- Support the organization of academic events.
- Participate in relevant international conferences.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree and a strong track record of publications on issues related to the team's interests, at the intersection of technology, communication, media, and societal values. We are looking for a person with professional competencies, empathy, ability to work in a team, motivation for innovation and research, ability to adapt, and who identifies with the mission of Universidad de Deusto.
What We Offer
- A 3-year contract with a gross annual salary of 32,985.15 to 42,000 euros, distributed into 15 monthly installments, depending on the candidate's experience.
