About the Role
The Vendor Manager is a key member of our team at Localization Academy, responsible for the strategic recruitment and management of global suppliers who provide services in over 100 languages. This role ensures available resources for all projects at all times and works closely with internal teams to guarantee operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement scalable and effective technology and processes to drive business growth.
- Identify potential roadblocks and develop strategies to overcome them, staying up-to-date on trends and best practices in the localization and translation industry.
- Drive initiatives to maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates by leveraging existing sources and proposing new ones.
- Assess vendor qualifications and experience, guaranteeing compliance and adherence to ISO requirements.
- Work alongside the Quality team and the Technology Team to seek improvements in day-to-day operations.
- Lead vendor engagement initiatives, promoting internal communication to align needs, priorities, and expectations.
- Generate relevant reporting of the department and complete thorough analysis.
Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication in English and Spanish are mandatory.
- Good negotiation skills and a result-driven approach.
- Strategic thinking and a high energy level.
- Highly proactive with a background in vendor management, human resources, administrative, or translation-related roles in an international environment.
- Previous experience within the translation industry is a must, with recruiting background and experience in roles that demand strong negotiation skills.
- Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of different cultural perspectives.
- Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Translation, or related field, or at least 3 years of experience in a similar industry.
