About the Position:
We are looking for a Technical Team Leader to become part of our Peer Experiences division. This role entails overseeing the product development and technical management of Gartner's service delivery technology platforms, which encompass all web-based applications that facilitate access to Gartner's Peer Experiences.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Software Engineering, this leader will work closely with globally distributed technical teams, Product Owners, Product Managers, Project Managers, and other cross-functional units to sustain the existing platform while also introducing new products. The primary goal is to enhance client retention by increasing the value and frequency of engagement from service associates on digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers in designing and implementing scalable web applications and services.
  • Facilitate architecture and technical design discussions with the team.
  • Conduct and mentor the team in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical specifications.
  • Document and review detailed design processes.
  • Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and career development initiatives.
  • Manage an Agile (Scrum) development process within a continuous integration and deployment framework.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to create new product features and enhance existing products and processes; assist in defining product and project deliverables, timelines, and testing.
  • Utilize a combination of Open Source and Commercial software to maintain industry-standard operating costs.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in noSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
  • Familiarity with SEO and performance optimization is advantageous.
  • Experience with Scrum methodology is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
