Your Responsibilities Will Include:

In an Agile environment, you will oversee teams of engineers working on new products within ecommerce and fulfillment. The working model will be hybrid, with teams located in various regions.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the design and development of our platform utilizing the latest technological advancements and methodologies. In addition to managing the teams, you will collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Managers to deliver enterprise solutions to our clients.

A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude are essential, along with a culture of friendly collaboration and teamwork. You will promote continuous improvement and high-performing teams, while also monitoring individual and team performance.

You will possess experience with the Software Development Lifecycle and its application to CI/CD using Domain Driven Design and Test Driven Development techniques. A keen interest in best practices and tackling new challenges is expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee two Software Engineering Teams, each comprising 5-6 developers (a mix of Backend and Frontend development).
  • Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to define the Product Roadmap and Technical Designs for reliable, high-performance, and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality code with extensive code coverage that adheres to best DDD principles.
  • Provide technical learning pathways for your team members and ensure they adopt best practices with underlying technologies.
  • Encourage collaboration among teams and know when to mentor or provide guidance without resorting to micromanagement.
  • Actively participate in development and the code review process.
  • Monitor production systems and foster a sense of ownership within your teams.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams and cultivating a culture of high performance and collaborative enjoyment within an Agile framework.
  • Experience interacting with customer-facing teams and/or directly with clients.
  • Familiarity with the design and construction of reliable distributed enterprise systems capable of scaling to accommodate high traffic volumes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack - .Net Core, Web API, Azure Services (including Cosmos, SQL Azure, App Insights, etc.), Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, and Service Bus technologies.
  • Exposure to Container Technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the SDLC, with experience in DDD, TDD, and CI/CD.
  • Exposure to AI coding efficiency tools.
  • Microsoft Azure / .Net certification is a plus.
