POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Associate Manager in Spain, this role serves as the primary liaison for the Local Sales Team, the Western Europe Customer Team, and the Regional Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multifaceted environment, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership while effectively engaging with various stakeholders, including remote teams.

The individual will be tasked with adapting the Regional Category Strategy to the Spanish market, formulating a commercial strategy tailored to diverse channels and clients, overseeing brand equity and pricing budgets, and being accountable for key performance indicators such as Net Sales, Delivered Profit, and Market Shares. This position focuses on Trade Marketing rather than consumer marketing, as it does not involve the development of new products or advertising campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee Net Sales, Delivered Profit, and Market Shares for the designated category in Spain;
  • Adapt the Regional Category Strategy into actionable plans for various channels and clients;
  • Analyze Shopper Insights and convert them into strategic initiatives to enhance performance at the point of sale;
  • Develop and manage the annual equity and pricing budget;
  • Create and execute a comprehensive Promotional Strategy;
  • Assist the Associate Manager in formulating pricing strategies;
  • Collaborate with the Associate Manager to generate accurate forecasts through the local S&OP process;
  • Craft Trade Presentations utilizing regional resources;
  • For key clients, design customized growth plans leveraging assortment, promotions, merchandising, and marketing initiatives;
  • Partner with the category manager to present innovation reviews to major clients.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree from a Business School or an equivalent university qualification;
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in Trade/Customer Marketing, Category Management, or Sales;
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Willingness to travel, both short-term and long-term;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Experience in FMCG or retail environments is advantageous;
  • Familiarity with market data and panels (e.g., AC Nielsen) is a plus;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a complex setting;
  • Strong drive for results with a proactive approach;
  • Excellent presentation and analytical capabilities;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;
  • Team-oriented individual capable of building relationships across various levels and functions, including remote collaboration.
