About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Content Strategist to join our team at Backbase Inc. As a key member of our R&D Department, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documentation that enables system integrators and developers to effectively adopt, extend, and build with our software.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product squads to plan, write, review, and improve documentation on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in the wider Technical Writing Guild, working with other technical writers to achieve guild OKRs on a quarterly basis.
- Create a documentation strategy together with product team members within your dedicated product area.
- Optimally produce use case-based documentation to explain, instruct, and guide in the successful use of our products.
Requirements
- Ability to think strategically about the architecture of the documentation in relation to the product portfolio.
- Deep understanding of the audiences of your product area and how the products are used by different stakeholders.
- Excellent writing skills, with a keen interest in user feedback and ongoing quality improvement.
- Ability to use data and insights to make formal decisions about content and advocate for best content practices with stakeholders.
- Good time management and organization skills, with an ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Experience writing technical content in the context of a complex product suite, as well as documenting REST APIs, services, and code examples.
- Experience working with markup languages such as Asciidoc and Markdown, using version control systems such as Git and GitHub, and following a Docs-as-Code approach.
