We are seeking a highly skilled Design to Value Engineer to join our Global Design to Value team at Hitachi Energy Spain. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and transformation across our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the reverse engineering and benchmarking activities to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
- Manage and improve processes to enhance product margin and efficiency.
- Coordinate activities with designated locations to ensure seamless implementation.
- Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) activities and provide training on DFA and DFM concepts.
- Conduct complex analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide suggestions for enhancements.
- Support and lead analysis related to improvements in operations and manufacturing processes.
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional workshops to drive innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Perform product and process cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret product cost and technical data to inform decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, product design, or related areas.
- Previous Manufacturing Process experience is a plus.
- Good command of English allowing free communication in an international environment.
- Strong coaching skills to provide training and development for the organization.
- Working knowledge of new product introduction, manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and design for assembly principles of DFMA.
- Demonstrated commitment to product and process improvement.
- Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results.
