About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Flowserve. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, management, and protection of sensitive system data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and availability.
  • Conduct system data quality audits and lead initiatives to improve data quality.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and system data owners to implement and enforce data governance framework.
  • Assist in system data management, governance, and system data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity.
  • Ensure the internal and external (SOX) audit controls documentation is provided and stored in the governance sites.
  • Respond to system data-related questions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and privacy.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise data assets.
  • Train and educate application leaders and Flowserve IT Teams on system data management and governance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a (System) Data Governance Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience level: Senior (7+ years in similar role).
  • Proficient in English and Spanish languages.
  • Experience in data analysis and management reporting.
  • Proficiency in data governance tools.
  • Must be highly organized, have attention to detail.
  • Has the ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at one time.
  • Work closely with other Flowserve IT teams and 3rd party support and hosting partners.
  • Knowledge of system data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel maximum 15%.
  • SAP (or other ERP) working knowledge would be a big plus.
