Postdoctoral Researcher in Moire Quantum Matter
ICFO is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantum Materials Research Scientist to join our cutting-edge project, focusing on the exploration and development of twisted quantum materials and two-dimensional correlated electron systems.
About the Project
The project covers a wide range of areas, including advanced van der Waals materials, moire quantum matter, superconductivity collective phenomena, photodetection, quantum technologies, and strong light-matter interactions, among others.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the field of twisted quantum materials and 2D correlated electron systems
- Develop and implement new experimental techniques and methods
- Collaborate with international research groups and experts in the field
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier scientific journals
Requirements
- Ph.D.-equivalent degree in physics, materials science, or nanotechnology
- Proven track record of research experience in 2D materials, heterostructures, and moire systems
- Experience with advanced tools such as cryostats, scanning near-field microscopes, and optical microscopes
