Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation group, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support for secure access workstations (SAWs), laptops, servers, and conference rooms Audio/Visual (A/V)
  • Maintain inventory of spare devices for the sites and ensure the latest updates and operating systems (OS) are installed on the devices
  • Perform Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for SAWs damaged within the first 30 days of receipt
  • Provide Senior Data Center Technician-level support when needed, including performing power cycles, swapping out failed components, handling storage media, and performing troubleshooting
  • Install and test cable installations, hardware rack/stack installations, and troubleshoot using standard data center processes
