Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst analyzes financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in decision making. This position will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and overall profit and loss management. This position oversees European markets and reports directly to the Regional Business Controller for Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support to the Regional Business Controller and act as a Finance Partner to Regional & Local Leadership
  • Track expenses and revenue vs. budget/forecast and reconcile variances, analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Drive analysis process by enforcing policies and procedures, improving existing processes and techniques, recommending actions to improve profitability
  • Determine cost of operations by establishing standard cost rates & related key performance indicators; maintain and improve consumption-based costing models; evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models

  • Standardize and automate reporting, increase forecasting accuracy
  • Set up and provide key performance indicators to stakeholders that will benefit the growth of the business
  • Drive change by introducing more efficient ways of finance-business partnership

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to the Regional Business Controller; part of global financial planning and analysis organization
  • Enlists the support of cross-functional teams across regions, product areas, and functions

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • 3-4 years' experience in financial planning and analysis/controlling. Technology industry preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, financial planning and analysis tools (Anaplan/Cognos or similar), and SAP/other accounting systems
  • Proven experience with analyzing large amounts of financial and operational data, with the ability to translate it into actionable insights
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Power BI
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with effective relationship building and ability to influence change and improve processes
  • Full working proficiency in English
