Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Data Analyst to join our team in Barcelona. As a Tax Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our indirect tax compliance team by analyzing and managing complex data sets, identifying trends and insights, and developing data-driven solutions to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: End-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including analysis, organization, planning, and final results delivery in cross-functional projects.
- Data Support: Support indirect tax colleagues with data requests, data questions, and/or extracting data on their behalf, where standard reports do not meet the requirements.
- Process Improvement: Improve existing processes by automating and reducing manual work, and collaborating with technology partners to innovate and maintain complex business and data solutions.
- Process Analysis: Perform process analysis to design or redesign multiple integrated process workflows and process issues to ensure that Amazon processes are state of the art and efficient.
- Data Research: Hands-on detailed data research and analysis of large financial data sets, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving data quality issues.
- Project Implementation: Implement projects to optimize data operations and work with key technology providers to support technology upgrades, migrations, etc.
- Dashboards: Create and maintain dashboards used by tax compliance teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex)
