Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science teacher to join our team at SEK International School - El Castillo. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Computer Science in the IB Diploma Programme and Design Technology in the IB Middle Years Programme.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science and experience in teaching in an international school setting. They will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to students in grades 6-12, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons to students in grades 6-12
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials for Computer Science and Design Technology
  • Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement curriculum materials
  • Participate in school-wide professional development opportunities
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant university degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Accepted teacher certification
  • Proficient in English (C2 or equivalent)
  • European Union Passport or a Visa to work in any of the EU member states
Desirable Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in international schools and contexts
  • Knowledge and experience of MYP or DP
  • Ability to teach Maths in MYP
  • Ability to teach in Spanish
