Job Title: Technology and Design Secondary Teacher

INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA SEK is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Technology and Design Secondary Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Technology and Design courses to secondary students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and will be able to inspire and motivate students to develop their skills in design and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver Technology and Design courses to secondary students, following the school's curriculum guidelines and requirements.
  2. Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques, and utilize relevant technology to support teaching.
  3. Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop, and write new curriculum documents, assessment, and reporting.
  4. Keep abreast of international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.
  5. Observe, monitor, and evaluate student learning and progress, and prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework, and other projects.
  6. Model classroom enquiry practice and the IB learner profile, and differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse learners.
  7. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement, and communicate students' progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.
  8. Maintain good behaviour of pupils in the classroom and on school premises, in accordance with the school's disciplinary policies.
  9. Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
  10. Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school and institutional events.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Digital technology, or a related field.
  • Ideal previous teaching experience in international contexts.
  • Level C1 English.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.
  • Desirable experience in Managebac or similar.
  • Office package management.
We Offer:

Contract: Permanent.
Schedule: 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.
