Job Title: Technology and Design Secondary Teacher

INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA SEK is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Technology and Design Secondary Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Technology and Design courses to secondary students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and a Master's degree in teaching. Previous experience in international contexts is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver Technology and Design courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines and the Middle Years Programme.
  • Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas.
  • Use relevant technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop, and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessment, and reporting.
  • Keep abreast of international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.
  • Observe, monitor, and evaluate student learning and progress.
  • Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework, and other projects.
  • Model classroom enquiry practice and the IB learner profile.
  • Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse learners, based on their academic ability and prior achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.
  • Communicate students' progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.
  • Maintain good behaviour of pupils in the classroom and on school premises, in accordance with the school's disciplinary policies.
  • Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school and institutional events.
Requirements
  • Engineering, Computer Science, Digital technology or similar
  • Master's degree in teaching
  • Ideally previous teaching experience in international contexts.
  • Level C1 English
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
  • Desirable experience in Managebac or similar.
  • Office package management.
