About the Role:

INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA SEK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology and Design Secondary Teacher to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver Technology and Design courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines and requirements.
  2. Design and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas.
  3. Utilize relevant technology to support teaching and learning.
  4. Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop and write new curriculum documents, assessment and reporting.
  5. Stay up-to-date with international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.
  6. Monitor and evaluate student learning and progress.
  7. Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework and other projects.
  8. Model classroom enquiry practice and the IB learner profile.
  9. Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse learners.
  10. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.
  11. Communicate students' progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.
  12. Maintain a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.
  13. Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities.
  14. Contribute to the development of school culture, leadership among pupils and the promotion of school values.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering, Computer Science, Digital technology or similar degree.
  2. Master's degree in teaching.
  3. Previous teaching experience in international contexts.
  4. Level C1 English.
  5. Ability to communicate in Spanish.
  6. Desirable experience in educational software and office package management.
