About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for aerospace to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with strong applied engineering skills and an aptitude for leading small engineering teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from conceptual phase to manufacturing, integration, and testing
  • Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and other related documentation required for manufacturing, integration, and testing
  • Deliver technical documentation including engineering calculations, analysis, and assumptions required to substantiate design decisions and solutions
  • Prepare and participate in design reviews
  • Manage suppliers and manufacturers by addressing technical questions and resolving issues during the manufacturing process
  • Select standard parts, fasteners, equipment, and consumables following best practices and industry standards
  • Contribute to the DMU and configuration management
Requirements
  • BSc. or MSc. in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • +5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aerospace industry
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes: machining, sheet metal forming, composites, and additive manufacturing
  • Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge: part design, DWGs, DMU management
  • Good engineering material properties knowledge
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills: dimensioning calculations, load path definitions, basic stress calculations, energy, and power
  • Seal and fastener design knowledge
  • Auxiliary component selection – general electro/mechanical components
  • ISO GD&T knowledge required
  • Fluent in English as working language
