Join Our Team as a Stress Engineer in Madrid

At Destinus, we're pushing the boundaries of aviation with our hydrogen-powered hypersonic vehicles. As a Stress Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing mechanical/structural systems for subsonic/supersonic and hypersonic flights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed structural and thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures, components, and systems.
  • Guide structural optimization and design improvements.
  • Deliver detailed FEM models used for analysis from GFEM to detailed analysis.
  • Define sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysis.
  • Deliver preliminary sizing calculations, hand calculations, and simplified estimates to inform the design.
  • Support ground and flight tests.
  • Deliver detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing integration and test processes and procedures.
  • Support the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineer.
  • FEM experience with Nastran from building models to analysis postprocessing debugging.
  • Experienced with stress hand calculation/analytical methods.
  • Experience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospace.
  • Experience with Flight and Ground Loads Structural requirements Calculations and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standards.
  • Experience with Matlab.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the English language is required.
