About the Role

Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. - C94 is seeking an experienced Energy Projects Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Team, you will be responsible for owning AWS's relationship with power utilities and driving the development and execution of strategies to ensure power does not constrain business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with power utilities and other stakeholders to identify power capacity opportunities for new AWS data centres.
  • Secure utility power contracts for new/expanding AWS data centres.
  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive power growth strategy for AWS data centres.
  • Collaborate on the implementation and management of energy projects in a timely and accurate fashion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Economics or other technical field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English languages, both written and spoken.
  • 5+ years experience in energy industry, involving working with Electricity Utilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of grid access/connection process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of analytical and commercial skillset to review utility tariffs and grid connection contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree (MBA/MS).
  • Experience designing or constructing HV / MV substations or other energy infrastructure.
  • Experience working for Electricity Utilities or Energy Regulators.
  • Experience working on Energy Policy.
  • Ability to converse in German, French or Italian is advantageous.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers and cloud services.
  • International Business experience.
