Operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) , we are in search of a skilled Platform Technical Lead .

As a Technical Lead at ESML, you will be instrumental in steering a team of engineers and shaping the technical trajectory of our initiatives. You will work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and deliver high-caliber software solutions that align with our strategic goals and adhere to the highest industry benchmarks. Your role will encompass not only your own technical contributions but also mentoring and nurturing your team members to promote their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership in Technology : Direct a team of software engineers in the design, development, and upkeep of software applications. Offer technical direction and mentorship to team members. Architectural Design : Collaborate with product and engineering teams to outline technical specifications and design scalable, robust software solutions. Ensure compliance with best practices and coding standards. Software Development : Engage actively in software development, contributing to the codebase, and ensuring the timely delivery of superior software solutions. Project Oversight : Manage project planning, task distribution, and timeline oversight to guarantee project milestones are achieved. Identify and mitigate technical risks. Code Evaluation : Conduct and engage in code evaluations to uphold code quality, pinpoint potential enhancements, and ensure consistency within the codebase. Problem Resolution : Address complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions. Collaborate with the team to tackle obstacles and bottlenecks. Collaborative Teamwork : Cultivate a collaborative and efficient team atmosphere. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and designers, to deliver feature-rich software. Documentation Practices : Ensure comprehensive documentation of technical designs, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference. Innovation and Trends : Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience as a software engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on coding experience. Strong leadership capabilities with experience in leading or mentoring a development team. Comprehensive knowledge of Kubernetes, Microservices, Java, REST, SOAP, Kafka. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically and innovatively. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with agile development methodologies is advantageous.
