Principal Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise, guiding platform engineering teams and driving technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement architectural strategies that align with business objectives.
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable systems, leveraging advanced cloud technologies and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency enhancement within the platform infrastructure.
- Act as a proactive problem solver, investigating and resolving complex system issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Champion the adoption of industry-leading practices and technologies, staying up-to-date with emerging trends in the field.
- Represent Ebury and showcase the company's technical expertise and thought leadership at technical conferences, meet-ups, and industry events.
- Extensive experience in building and deploying large-scale distributed systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of architectural principles and scalability considerations.
- Proven expertise in cloud architecture and application deployment patterns, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing highly available and resilient systems on platforms like GCP or AWS.
- Strong programming skills and proficiency in multiple programming languages, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and guide junior engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
- Track record of driving technical innovation and excellence, with a passion for staying at the forefront of industry trends and advancements.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to engage in the tech community, building and expanding professional networks both inside and outside of Ebury.
