We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fire Assayer to join our team at ALS. As a Fire Assayer, you will play a critical role in the precious metal recovery process, working with high-temperature furnaces and laboratory equipment to extract valuable metals from samples.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately weigh and prepare samples for the fire assay process.
- Fuse mixtures in a high-temperature furnace to extract precious metals.
- Perform cupellation and prilling to collect and prepare metal samples.
- Conduct thorough inspections of samples and equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Record any anomalies and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety protocols.
- Flexibility and reliability to meet the dynamic demands of the department.
