**Job Summary**
Peter Paul Philippine Corporation, a leading producer of desiccated coconut and other coconut-based products, is seeking a highly skilled **Quality Assurance Specialist** to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine in-process monitoring of coconut water and coconut milk/cream quality control testing, including sensory evaluation, product temperature, pH, brix, and turbidity.
- Check compliance to critical control points in the production process, including pasteurization temperature and sterilization temperature.
- Ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly verified prior to use.
- Perform titration and ensure standard concentration of cleaning chemicals prior to CIP.
- Conduct rapid swab tests of equipment and machines after CIP prior to use.
- Check raw materials prior to production and ensure proper labeling of ingredients used for blending.
- Conduct physicochemical evaluation of blended coconut water and coconut milk/cream for UHT and approve final blend for transfer to VTIS sterilizer.
- Collect line samples for microbiological and physicochemical evaluation.
- Enforce plant quality and food safety standards by continuous monitoring of sanitary work habits throughout production.
- Report quality-related issues to QA Supervisor and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Accomplish all required documentation in official report forms and logbooks.
- Safeguard assigned laboratory equipment and tools.
- Ensure production area and storage are free from gluten.
- Perform duties and responsibilities aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices and company-established environmental, health, and safety program.
**Requirements:**
- Graduate of BS Food Technology or Chemistry, or any related course in Chemistry.
- Licensed Chemical Technician.
- Preferably with related work experience.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and HACCP Program.
