About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our Iberian Original Grocery Business Unit team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for monitoring financial performance, supporting the planning and reporting process, and providing valuable insights to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and lead the profit and loss account of Portugal, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular financial analysis and insights to the local team, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the commercial organization to negotiate trade terms and ensure accurate accruals and balance sheet status.
- Support the marketing and sales teams in developing business cases and ad-hoc analysis.
- Participate in the target-setting process and plan follow-up to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in the ongoing digital transformation of the consolidation and reporting function.
- Share financial information with stakeholders, promoting transparency and ownership through the review process.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration or Economics.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a finance controller or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and an understanding of the bigger picture.
- Effective communication skills to present findings to stakeholders.
- Team player with a results-oriented mindset.
- Systematic and structured approach to problem-solving.
- Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
