Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VoIP Engineer to join our Programmable Communications Team. As a VoIP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our real-time communication infrastructure, ensuring high-quality and carrier-grade performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure VoIP solutions using SIP and RTP protocols.
  • Develop and maintain our communication platform, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate our communication platform with other Aircall services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to VoIP and real-time communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our communication platform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in VoIP engineering, with a focus on SIP and RTP protocols.
  • Strong understanding of real-time communication architecture and protocols.
  • Experience with open-source SIP technologies, such as FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, and Asterisk.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as TypeScript, and experience with containerized environments, like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS in a production environment, with a focus on high-volume and high-availability services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
