Job SummaryThe Production Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Department Manager and team members, maintaining departmental records and reports, communicating daily schedules, and arranging key meetings. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Understand departmental workflows and dependencies, working closely with the Production Supervisor and Department Head to maintain and manage the department schedule.
- Track progress of tasks for assigned artists or sequences in Shotgun, reflecting scheduled, in-progress, and completed departmental work.
- Collaborate with other coordinators and supervisors to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
- Partner with the Production Supervisor and Department Head to set department priorities, taking into account show priorities established by the Production Supervisors and Production Manager.
- Enter and maintain production data in the studio's production database and related departmental records.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars, ensuring alertness to topics, deadlines, and conflicts.
- Ensure proper preparation for meetings and reviews, recording and publishing notes that accurately reflect action items.
- Coordinate work that enters and leaves the department, providing administrative support as needed to ensure accurate and complete communications.
- Act as a point of coordination for workflow between departments, ensuring procedures are followed to ensure seamless workflow.
- 3+ years of experience in VFX or animation industries, preferably as a Production Coordinator in feature-animation film production or VFX.
- Bachelor's degree in film, art, communications, or related field.
- Professional working knowledge of Google Spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- High English language skill level.
