About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our sites. This key position is responsible for leading operational teams, managing and developing a team of Area Managers, and creating the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
  2. Operational Excellence: Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance by analyzing shift performance against relevant business objectives and putting in place actions to improve operational excellence.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Initiative Design and Delivery: Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance and drive business growth.
Requirements
  1. Education: A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience: Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management, with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management.
  3. Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  4. Analytical Skills: Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  5. Technical Skills: Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Lean and Six Sigma: Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  2. Logistical Experience: Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  3. MS Office Suite: Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
