Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Key Distribution for Space
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Quantum Flagship. The successful candidate will be part of our Optoelectronics group, led by Prof. Dr. Valerio Pruneri, and will work on developing fundamental ideas for revolutionizing future photonic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation
- Design and develop opto-electronics for the space segment
- Collaborate with companies dedicated to space hardware development
- Conduct laboratory and ground-to-ground field tests
- Develop an engineering model of the QKD transmitter for its adaptation to space
Requirements:
- Internationally-recognized Ph.D. or MSc.-equivalent degree in Physics, Photonics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related areas
- Proven track record in optical communication in space, photonic device engineering, electronic signal processing, FPGA programming
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
