Join Our Team as a Sustainable Finance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our Environment and Human Rights Corporate Department as a Sustainable Finance Lead. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our sustainability agenda and contributing to our goal of becoming a Net Zero company by 2040.

About the Role

The Sustainable Finance Lead will be responsible for managing various projects related to sustainable finance and financial impact of sustainability. This includes:

  • Reporting on sustainability and financial impact (CSRD and others)
  • Participation in Telefónica's annual corporate report of non-financial information, following CSRD requirements
  • Internal control of non-financial information
  • Support in auditing processes
  • Participation in climate change risks and opportunities related with financial impact and planning
  • Climate Action Plan related with financial planning
  • Implement specific projects to fill the GAPs of new regulation

You will also be responsible for defining general processes and accompanying internal transformation projects, both at local and global level, in collaboration with different teams and companies of the Telefonica Group.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or related fields; also considered Business/Legal/Science/Engineering with a postgraduate in environment
  • Previous experience in sustainable finance topics, such as green/sustainable bonds/loans issuance, carbon funds, carbon pricing, etc.
  • 10 years of work experience in sustainability, either in a company or consultancy
  • Previous experience in environment/climate change is needed
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment (EU-level initiatives on sustainability matters; reporting obligations, etc.)
