Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Payments Graduate to join our team. As a Customer Payments Graduate, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of customer payments, including instruction and verification of client payments, completion and verification of payment beneficiaries, and management of payment issues and queries.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Payment Processing

Instruction and verification of client payments, in accordance with internal processes and in line with internal SLAs.

Beneficiary Verification

Completion and verification of payment beneficiaries, in accordance with internal processes.

Task Management

Complete allocated tasks with focus, and in a timely manner.

Communication

Communicate the status of tasks to colleagues, supervisors and managers, and escalate problems swiftly, as needed.

Payment Issue Management

Management of payment issues and queries relating to SWIFT and domestic payments, including processing of SWIFT query messages (MT199, MT192, MT195/6 and MT999), in line with internal processes and SLAs.

Payment Reconciliation

Investigate non-received, short or returned payments, and process or escalate as required, in line with internal processes.

Payment Returns

Process payment returns and rejections, in line with internal processes.

Payment Status Verification

Check and confirm status of payments in third party banking and payment platforms, including SWIFT GPI.

Client Fund Reconciliation

Reconciliation of client funds and outbound payments sent and received across Ebury's network of bank accounts, across all back office systems, in accordance with internal processes.

Unallocated Funds Investigation

Investigation of unallocated and/or non-received funds, and rejection or escalation as required.

Client Trade Funding

Funding client trades, where manual funding is required.

Remitter Bank Account Verification

Verification of remitter bank account data.

Client Account Assignment

Assign currency accounts to clients as requested, and in accordance with internal guidelines.

Requirements

  1. Payment Clearing Schemes

Solid understanding of different payment clearing schemes in the different jurisdictions in which Ebury operates.

Relevant Experience

At least 1+ years of relevant experience in Fintech / International Payments or similar.

SWIFT Knowledge

Good knowledge of SWIFT in a cross-border payments context, including MT103 message types.

FX Products

Basic understanding of FX products offered by Ebury, including spot, fixed forward, window forward and non-deliverable forward.

Problem-Solving

Proactive, with the ability to work within strict time-frames and under pressure.

Attention to Detail

Diligent, with good attention to detail.

Research Skills

Effective research skills with an ability to find solutions independently.

Communication Skills

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Teamwork

Co-operative, and comfortable working in a team environment.
