Life Cycle Assessment Analyst
Job Summary:ES03 Valeo España is seeking a highly skilled Life Cycle Assessment Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Advanced Development department, you will be responsible for leading and reviewing Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) assessments, ensuring the quality of results and contributing to the development of new methodologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Review LCAs and PCFs: Conduct and review LCAs and PCFs for products, ensuring the use of proper methods and data, and being responsible for the quality of results.
- Plan and Manage LCA Workload: Plan and manage the LCA workload, including evaluating and managing the LCA workload with LCA Pooling in India.
- Develop and Improve Methodologies: Capitalize on best practices and develop new methodologies and tools for LCA and PCF assessments, and improve the existing ones.
- Train and Mentor: Train and mentor junior colleagues and newcomers on LCA and PCF methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to Training and Development: Contribute to the development of training materials and participate in training sessions for other networks.
- Support Deployment of LCA Methodology: Support the deployment of the LCA methodology and tools for products within the Business Group/Platform.
- Collect Data from Networks: Collect data from different networks (Industry, Purchasing, Projects, Logistics, R&D) for LCA and PCF assessments.
- Support R&D Platforms and Projects: Provide support to R&D platforms and projects teams in their CAP50 achievements regarding CLEAN milestones for P1s.
- Contribute to CO2 Impact Evaluation: Contribute to the evaluation of potential associated CO2 impacts and support actions to reduce PCF.
- Support Platforms and Projects: Support platforms and projects in making waterfalls.
- Improve LCA and PCF Methodology: Improve the LCA and PCF methodology, emission factors database, and tools.
- Participate in Working Groups: Participate in transversal working groups activities (Material EF, Process EF, LCA Method, Electronic EF/Method).
- Participate in External Reviews: Participate in external third-party reviews when necessary.
- Share Best Practices: Participate in regular meetings of the LCA network and share best practices (LCA/PCF results).
- Contribute to Supplier Meetings: Participate in supplier meetings regarding LCA when necessary.
- Contribute to OEMs: Contribute/showcase LCA/PCF results to OEMs upon request.
- Participate in External Initiatives: Participate in working groups or external initiatives on LCA topics (e.g., Catena-X, PFA, CLEPA, UNECE, CICES, TranSensus).
- Review and Challenge Suppliers: Review and challenge suppliers about the emission factors communicated.
