Job Summary

Novartis Farmacéutica is seeking a highly skilled Regional Head of Business Planning and Analysis to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and driving the achievement of our financial, transformation, and savings targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with REFS Finance globally, Operations Finance, and REFS Business Leadership teams to align financial strategies and objectives.
  • Provide cost transparency and ensure a good understanding of key cost drivers for REFS RoW by location and business area.
  • Evaluate risks & opportunities, proactively communicate findings, and make recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate closely with Country/Region Finance and Business in REFS, as well as across Operations and all divisions, providing financial expertise for the evaluation, execution, and tracking of REFS Investments/Divestments and projects in RoW.
  • Establish a robust process for accurate monitoring and reporting of key KPIs for savings and performance.
  • Ensure good accounting practices in line with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), MAL/FIKO, Investment guidelines and approvals process, all Operations forms (IS40, IS26, etc.), SOPs, and POP policy.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Finance / MBA / Certified Public Accountant Degree (CPA).
  • English language is mandatory, Spanish is beneficial.
  • Years of experience in budgeting, controlling and reporting for shared service and real estate function or equivalent.
  • Experience with strategy implementation, system development, cost management, performance monitoring.
  • Experience in multi-function project and change.
  • Accounting, internal audit / financial reporting and accounting experience.
  • Strong business partnering across multiple stakeholders.
  • Active cost management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Power Point, SAP systems, with working knowledge of Ariba.
