Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring & Observability Administrator to join our team at Alter Solutions Group. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our monitoring infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain our monitoring infrastructure, including SCOM, Checkmk, and Elastic Observability tools.
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure real-time visibility into our IT systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and implement automation scripts using Ansible to streamline monitoring and maintenance tasks.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into system performance and trends.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on monitoring and observability best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with SCOM, Checkmk, and Elastic Observability tools.
- Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Programming skills in.NET, C#, or Python.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and YAML.
- Knowledge of Full-Stack Observability platforms.
- Experience with KQL, ESQL, PromQL, and JSON.
- DevOps practice and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
