Production Engineer Job Description

At QIAGEN, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team within the Production Engineering department. This engineer will work closely with our manufacturing engineering team and/or project team to ensure the smooth transfer of products or new equipment from R&D or Engineering to Production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the transfer of products or new equipment from R&D or Engineering to Production.
  • Identify potential risks and mitigations by updating the FMEA, and ensure that the actions or procedures defined are documented in the manufacturing documentation.
  • Implement best practices and corrective actions and ensure that manufacturing documentation reflects them.
  • Assist in the Qualification and Validation of manufacturing equipment and processes within an ISO clean room.
Requirements:
  • Engineering or Scientific Degree (Automation, Mechanics, Electronics, Biomedical, Physics) or similar.
  • Experience in Process Engineering or Production Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues/equipment.
  • Multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in some of the following areas: PLC programming, HMI development, machine vision, DB, optics, fluidics, heat-management, pneumatics, SolidWorks, machining (e.g., CNC).
  • Good command of English.
