Our Mission

As a Chassis Design Engineer, you will be involved in different design projects related to chassis modules, ensuring an appropriate packaging for components and systems on vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design ownership of chassis systems, including suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and wheels & tyres.
  • Ensure effective component packaging and system integration.
  • Define and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) implementation.
  • Support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan (DVP) generation.
  • Manage suppliers and support mule and prototype vehicle assembly as required.
  • Define chassis components technical specifications and write technical/scientific documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings and cross-functional design reviews.
  • Collaborate with other technical departments and contribute to R&D projects.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, specialized in Mechanics or Automotive.
  • Fluent English and other languages an asset.
  • Previous automotive OEM experience or Tier 1 component experience considered an asset.
  • Understanding of chassis systems working principles, manufacturing techniques, and materials.
  • CATIA V5 2D/3D skills and knowledge of CAE and simulation tools an asset.
  • GD&T principles and tolerance analysis knowledge.
  • Good communication skills and confident in discussions at different hierarchical levels.
