The Finance Team for Southern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America is seeking a Project Financial Analyst to oversee the Iberian region, specifically Spain and Portugal. This role is integral to the regional Project Controlling team and reports directly to the Head of Project Controlling.

The Project Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with Project Managers to mitigate commercial risks associated with projects while enhancing revenue and cash flow. Additionally, this position will work alongside the Collections Manager concerning project-level accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, reporting, and providing insights on the financial status of projects.
  • Proactively initiating precise invoicing in accordance with customer contracts and established global procedures.
  • Acting as a business partner for Project and Line Managers by facilitating regular financial reviews of individual projects and the overall project portfolio.
  • Ensuring revenue recognition aligns with DMS principles, including Percentage of Completion (POC) and time and material principles, as well as project accounting standards.
  • Analyzing and questioning inputs from Project Managers and Line Management when necessary, including proactive follow-ups regarding change orders.
  • Conducting monthly review meetings with Project Managers to support effective project management, including initial expenditure reviews and directing Project Administrators for necessary revisions.

In addition to daily responsibilities, the role involves managing or assisting with project financial records, actively monitoring project completion, and ensuring timely closure. Responsibilities also include overseeing Work in Progress (WIP) to guarantee future collectability and taking proactive measures to minimize risks. The analyst will analyze projects for high-risk items and communicate with business controllers as needed, while also reviewing opportunities and bids in accordance with authority limits.

Qualifications:
