About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Fundació per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu. As a key member of our Project Management Office, you will be responsible for the effective implementation of European scientific projects, providing daily scientific, technical, and managerial support to our Principal Investigators and researchers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage European scientific projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and outputs.
  • Interface with project coordinators, internal teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day scientific and technical work, including the organization of meetings and the preparation of agendas and presentations.
  • Provide guidance to project partners on scientific orientation, mitigation plans, ethical issues, and work plans.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including data protection and intellectual property.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project partners, stakeholders, and external experts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, preferably in health or a related psycho-social field.
  • Strong scientific background and understanding of qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and reach consensus.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a European research context.
  • Knowledge of EU-funded projects and project management principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English, with advanced proficiency in Spanish.
