About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Associate to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Project Manager Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects across various functions, ensuring timely and quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and own a subset of project-specific activities as directed by the Project Lead, including project reports, authoring and reviewing project plans, vendor management, and financial activities.
  • Compile project reports and status updates, and coordinate and lead internal and external project team meetings.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day management of project finances, including performing financial analyses and providing required follow-up with functional leads.
  • Own vendor management activity and bring together information from internal project functions to coordinate the execution of project deliverables.
  • Recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects to stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional gathering of information for the project Risk Register from initiation to closure.
  • Maintain compliance with all organization policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Basic Sciences, Clinical, Business Operations, Finance, or Computer Science.
  • NIS (Non-Interventional Study) experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Headcount resource and financial forecasting experience.
Desirable Skills
  • Excellent technical and systems competency, including effective use of systems and applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical business, drug development, and project management.
  • Ability to present data and visualizations in effective ways to audiences at varied levels within an organization.
  • Natural curiosity and the ability to explore new ideas and interrogate data.
  • Solid attention to detail and process-focused.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, including ability to be attentive to stakeholder needs.
  • Basic therapeutic area knowledge.
  • Good understanding of the key principles of project management (time, quality, cost), including basic financial acumen.
  • Good coordination, organizational, time management, and planning skills to coordinate multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Basic financial understanding/awareness.
